Teen pop singer Rebecca Black has become an overnight Internet sensation after the video for her debut single "Friday" was posted to YouTube. The video has collected over 13 million views in under a week, making Rebecca Black a more trendy Internet topic than Charlie Sheen. The song has been widely mocked for its simplistic lyrics and use of vocal auto-tuning but the video views keep tallying up and fast. The thirteen-year-old revealed to The Daily Beast in her first interview since her new-found fame that she was given the option by the record company to pull it from YouTube, but refused, saying: “I decided not to give the haters the satisfaction that they got me so bad I gave up.” Rebecca Black is reportedly scheduled to soon appear on Good Morning America, and On-Air With Ryan Seacrest.Rebecca Black's mother Georgina is a veterinarian and her stepfather Douglas Kelly is an executive in the automotive insurance claims industry. In 2006, the the family purchased a home in the southern California city of Anaheim Hills which is located in Orange County. Built in 1978, the 2,066 square foot home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two-car garage, and boasts french doors that lead to the backyard with a swimming pool, spa and built-in BBQ.
