We seem to be on an LA Kings hockey kick this week. First we checked out the Los Angeles home of former Kings (and now Rangers) player Sean Avery and now the Heber City, Utah home of Kings legend and current front office exec Luc Robitaille has hit the market for $2,599,000.
Robitaille was born in Canada and had a 19-season tenure with the National Hockey League including ice time with the Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers. He spent the bulk of his career with the Los Angeles Kings and was a team captain. The Kings retired his number in 2007 and he was voted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009. He currently serves as the president of business operations for the Kings. Robitaille also owns a home in Santa Monica, California and in Montreal.
The hockey star’s six-bedroom log home is an expansive retreat on 13.5 acres.
The property features a swimming pool with pool house, pastures, barn and a potential apartment above the barn. An indoor gymnasium has a purple-accented basketball court.
In 2005, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the Robitailles opened up the home, which is named Serenity, as a sanctuary for displaced people from the Gulf Coast.
