Interior designer Kelly Wearstler and her hotelier husband Brad Korzen have put their 6,000-square-foot, six-bedroom, 4.5-bath Malibu mansion on the market for a whopping $21.9 million. Situated on an exclusive 72-foot stretch of Carbon Beach on the Pacific Coast Highway, the house was actually purchased from Janet Jackson for $8.5 million, and was used as a shared beach house with three other families.Wearstler, of course, decorated the digs, and if you take a click through photos it's clear she was having a very beige moment. Over-the-top as her style may be, I usually find something to love about it. But I simply can't get behind this home — there's not a flash of color in any room in the house. Cream, yes. Tan, yes. Taupe, yes. Gray, yes. But not one hue that's not nearly completely desaturated!
The digs do have exceptional bones, though. There are exquisite finishes throughout, including Honey Onyx, Calcutta Gold and Cippolino stone, and hardwood floors. A bathroom skylight is another favorite feature, too. And the stairs! Chunky and graphic and oh so cool. Take a look and tell me what you think!
