Bad boy hockey player Sean Avery is finally saying goodbye to Los Angeles, listing his home in the Laurel Canyon area of Hollywood Hills for $859,000. Avery bought the home way back in 2005 for $989,000 when he was playing for the Los Angeles Kings. Avery is one of the NHL’s more colorful figures, known for his aggressive play at left wing with the NY Rangers and other teams as well as for his off-ice interest in women’s fashion which led to an internship at Vogue magazine.
Avery’s home is a two-bedroom Spanish bungalow built in 1925. Its position in the hills offers a city view over the trees.
It has been updated throughout. The living room has French doors which open out to a wrap-around deck.
The master suite has a private bath and walk-in closet. A second bedroom also has an attached bath.
This home is listed with Justin Paul Huchel of Hilton & Hyland. Check out the listing on REALTOR.com
