Gladys Knight's home in Fairview, North Carolina

After living exclusively in the Las Vegas area for several years, in August of 2007 R&B singer-songwriter Gladys Knight purchased a mountain retreat in the state of North Carolina. Located in the small town of Fairview which is near Asheville, the Empress of Soul's Colonial style home has 3918 square feet and includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms, three fireplaces, and is set on twenty acres which includes a large man-made pond with a gazeebo near the entrance of the property.

Gladys Knight still owns a home in Henderson, Nevada which she purchased in early 1999 and another home in Las Vegas which she purchased in late 2004.

Before embarking on a solo career, Gladys Knight & The Pips were responsible for some of the most popular songs of the 1970s. Some if their biggest hits include: "If I Were Your Woman", "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)", "Midnight Train to Georgia", "I've Got to Use My Imagination", and "Try to Remember".
